We are excited to announce the Park Inn at Hickory , NC has been selected as our site for the 2008
Comet East/IEC Edsel Rally!! Hickory is located on I-40 about an hour from either Asheville , NC or
Charlotte , NC . The Park Inn ( www.parkinn.com/hickorync ) has great rooms at $74 per night,
ample parking space, and plenty of meeting space. The Park Inn is part of the Radisson corporation,
and we were impressed with the quality of the location. Hickory , NC is historically known for its
furniture industry. There are several points of interest nearby including the Furniture Mart, a
restored Victorian mansion, and one of only two covered bridges in NC. Within a couple of miles of
the hotel there are antique shops, a shopping mall. andmany good restaurants. We are planning to
have a bus trip to Mooresville , NC which is the home of many NASCAR car building shops and the
NASCAR museum. We look forward to seeing you in Hickory !!
